Soundblaster Audigy + WinXP Issues
-----------------------------------------------
Run a DirectX Diagnostic from the Start menu by selecting Run and then typing DXDiag.
From the Sound tab, go to DirectX Features, and lower the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level to Basic (one notch from the left).
Open Game Voice and run the Game Voice Sound Hardware Test Wizard again. It should pass this time.
Run a DirectX Diagnostic again, and set the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level back to Full. Game Voice should now run fine at full acceleration.
It looks like the SB Audigy Drivers have several directX Problems.
If you set it to Full Hardware Acceleration, Directx Output will not work with Teamspeak 2.0. I tested it today with Helza's great Music Channel ;). You can change the Accleration Level in "realtime" for testing. Just let the dxdiag control panel open.
Results:
Works NOT[ in Standard and Maximum Acceleration Level. If I choose MINIMUM or NO ACCELERATION it works. So it's maybe a bug in the Soundblaster Drivers (or in WinXP). Seem's like MS made a (unpublished ?) workaround in their Gamevoice Software. The Gamevoice Sound Testing routine also crashes if you set the acceleration level too high. After the sound test succeeds (with min or no acc.) you can set it to max and Gamevoice runs fine.
With minimum or no acceleration Level it works, but you often get "repeating" voices if you start a program which uses much CPU time. -> Lets hope they will fix this problems soon !
THIS SUCKS !!

this was grabbed from the same thread:
I now use the kxProject Em10k Sounddrivers. These drivers work with all EMu10kx Chipsets (like SB Audigy).
An what should I say ;) All problems are gone :D The kx drivers work absolut relyable and good with the Teamspeak direct X sound options. No stucking no repeating voice.

thx to euthansia for the hint ! :D
Or....... try the new drivers that are out. When going to the SB homepage make sure you download from the Americas.
Brand new driver pack :)
