I need to disable Zone Alarm firewall to access server admin?

What error message you receive?
1) i need to disable firewall to access server admin not something everyone would risk
2) When trying to minimise client window or close it system locks up requiring reeboot

zonealarm issue: the default port for the webadmin is 14534 unless you changed this in your server.ini file. all you need to do is allow connection to this app via that port. cant help you on the minimize=lock up
