Hi all,

I'm in need of assistance setting up my router. I have an SMC Barricade, and it does not seem to be behaving properly.

On the "Virtual Server" page I have setup UDP port 8767 to be forwarded to my server machine. On the "Special Applications" page I have UDP port 8767 as a trigger to itself. However, people are still unable to connect to my server.

I can connect locally to the server from my other computer, but people get a "No response from server" error when the connect from the other side of the router.

Has anyone out there behind an SMC Barricade been able to get TeamSpeak 2.0 working? If so, I would really appreciate your assistance :).

Thanks,

Critter

Hi again,

This is for some poor soul who may be in the same situation that I was.

I have forwared the TCP Query port 51234 in the same manner as I had configured UDP 8767 above, and my server is now very connectable :). I don't fully understand *why* this works (the FAQ says only UDP 8767 is required), but it seems to have made the difference. Any suggestions?

Feel free to actually post this time ;),

I have a barricade just wondering what you put on each page im new to this lol. You couldn't tell me what things go in which box could you :)

Virtual Server Page

Private IP | Private Port | Type | Public Port

Special Application Page

Trigger Port | Trigger Type | Public Port | Public Type |Enabled

Once more,

Silly me. You really do only need to open up port 8767 UDP. SMC Routers get a thumbs down from me... after a firmware upgrade and several resets, my teamspeak server is fully functional.

To Bigman:

Virtual Server Page:
Private IP: IP of the machine your TS2 server is running on.
Private Port: 8767
Type: UDP
Public Port: 8767

Special Applications Page:
Trigger Port: 8767
Trigger Type: UDP
Public Port: 8767
Public Type: UDP
Enable: [Checked]

This will get your basic TeamSpeak 2.0 server talking with the outside world. To get the web administration tool working, enter another entry on the virtual server page for TCP port 14534.

Hope this helps,

I have the same Problem. I Have an SMC7004ABR Router.

I can connect over my WAN IP, but no one can connect from outside.

It's verry stupid or isn't it? :D

Odd,

After reading your post, I checked my firmware version (currently 1.42.003), as I like to keep my hardware up-to-date. After going to SMC's (North American) website, however, I found that 1.42.003 is the latest verion for my model.

Where did you get that firmware from?

Critter :)
