Voice not working..

I was playing Counter Strike and all of a sudden in the middle of the game my mic just stops working. I've tried almost everything. When I talk into my mic I can tell it's on but it just won't transmit to my computer. I've tried almost all the voice programs and tried Sound Recorder. It doesnt receive anything. This has happen before a few times then all of a sudden a few days later it works again. I don't know if it's my sound card or not but my sound is fine its just my mic wont transmit.

Maybe a hardware problem?
Some loose contact in your mic?
Try moving the cable around a bit and see if the sound goes away/comes back again.

do you experience this problem only when using TS ?

But from what you describe (a "random effect") I agree to what Dummer Sack proposes.
