Hi!
i tried hard, but i can connect to no servers, neither can dowload the public servers list and so on.

I'm behind a NAT: I'm using a ISDN connection thru a Fritz!card PCI, with the latest version of Fritzweb, that enables also to open ports. I opened port UDP 8767, as I read on the FAQ but it won't work.

My internet provider is Arcor if this information can help someway(yes I'm in Germany but I speak better English than German, that's why I'm in this part of the forum).

I think the Fritz card is quite popular in Germany, so if somebody is in the same situation, can you help me pleeeez?
thanks!

If you are using a client additinal network configuration should not be necessary.

For those servers you can not reach, try to ping either their Ip address and/or their hostname. If that fails too, you have an original network problem and no TS problem

Opening port 8767 UDP is normaly only necessary for the server, not the client.

Do you have an additional firewall running that might block the traffic?
If so you have to allow the TS Client internat access.
Read your firewall manual on how to do this.

no, I don'have any other firewalls...
but anyway I think it's not a TS problem, because I can't ping any address from the commanad line (neither my address):I'm not practical with NATs, you see.
So I think maybe it's not a subject for this forum.... but if someone had some spare suggestion I would really appreciate!...:)

Did you have a firewall installed?
I know that ZA has the problem that it somtimes does not uninstall correctly and still blocks ports although uninstalled.
Maybe your Fritz!card driver has a built in firewall?

YEAH! thanks! now it works.
it was indeed some pieces that the old installation of zonealarm left behind!
Yes fritzcard has some kind of stupid nat/firewall capabilities against portscans but luckily they give no problems.
thanks again!
