Ok.. I have gotten everything set up.. I can log on to both admin .. and super admin.. edited what i wanted to (name of my server and welcome message) ..

(downloaded both.. server and client too)

Ok.. this is what i do.. I double click ts2 server icon.. box flashes while loading.. then icon appears lower right.. .. options of that icon are admin.. your ip and exit
your ip .. shows me two..
a 192.xxx.x.x with a lil computer icon next to it and
a 63.xxx.xx.xx with a lil world icon next to it..
if i am correct in reading all the faqs. and manuel the 63. number is what my friends would need..

now i open the ts2 client when it opens..
i choose connect..
shows option directory . nothing there..
i choose quick connect..
i put in 63. number i get .. no response from server. may not be connected or server may not be running .. error..
i put in 192. number and it logs in succesfully .. shows server name i set up and welcome text and all.. however when i click on my name.. it doesnt show me as admin.. or even registered.. also it shows server ip as the 192. number..
so for me to log into my own server am i suppose to use the 192. number?

ok.. so i give the 63. number to a friend.. he gets the same error message that i do.. and the 192. doesnt work either..

I admit i dont know everything about computer talk.. and i appalogize if this is in the FAQ and i dont recongnize it..
I run AMD processer with windows XP.. I use Qwest DSL.. too..

oh .. and i am able to log into my friends server.. he just cant log into mine..

Thank you for your time..

Do you have the windows XP firewall or any other firewall active?
If yes, open port 8767 UDP in it.
Here (http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3200) is a description on how to do it with the XP firewall.
Read your firewall manual if you use another firewall.

Do you have a router with NAT or use MS ICS?
You have to forward port 8767 UDP to the computer thet runs the TS server.
Read your router or NAT device manual how to do that.

do you use a router?
- if so: read the router-manual... the ports which to forward can be found in the faq or in dummer sack's post :) (oh and most routers block connections from you going out to your own wan-ip to block some loopback-issues. Thus you can only use your internal ip.)

-if not: anything else is blocking traffic to your computer. Search through currently running programs as Norton, ZoneAlarm etc. most probably one of them is a firewall and has to be configured correctly... read the appropriate manual.
