My clanmates hear a scratching sound

After about 10 - 15 mins of running ts my clanmates will start complaining about a loud screetching noise coming from their speakers, its always coming from me somehow... I found that if i exit outta ts, then rejoin the problem is fixed for the next 10 - 15 mins... Plz help!

one of our mates sounds like a robot after a while. restarting TS always helps.. but not for too long.

I had WinMe for over 2 years and never had this problem. I installed WinXPpro last week and had the same problem already once. also, when I startup my pc and the first thing I do is to start TS, ppl hear some scratchy noise and cant understand me.

I found out, switching from direct-sound to wave and back helps. of course, I could stay on wave, but it just sounds a bit better with direct-sound. and YES, I have the latest sound-driver installed for my soundblaster live! soundcard.
