View Full Version : Can't connect to my own server

Hi there,

I saw similar questions to mine in this forum, but I haven't found the right answer. I do NOT have a router, I have WindowsXP but NOT ServicePack1 installed, I CAN use other servers but can't login to my own.

What did I do? I've installed TeamSpeak Server and FireDaeomn Lite. My TeamSpeakserver shows up in the list and I can doubleclick to join. When I do, I see the following message appear:

---------------------------------------------------
[time] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
---------------------------------------------------

Please help me on this one, so I can use my own server! The idea I have, is that I haven't assigned any channels. I don't know how to do that from the admin-menu. Is this the problem?

Greetings,

Rick

Hi,

We need some more details here, like are the client and the server runningon the same machine?, if so, which IP do you use to connect to the server

1. Install servicepack 1.
2. make sure that you have not activated the WinXP Firewall or open port 8767 in it. See here (http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3200) how to do it.
3. Try to connect to the server from the SAME machine with 127.0.0.1 as address.
