Unregistered users?

How do I (IF i can) keep players from coming in as unregistered? We have a player that everytime he connects it says "New PLayer". Well, we are trying to keep from having that happen. Your time is greatly appreciated

after a little more digging it was only that user that was coming in as unregistered. Although he had a registered name he was getting in. Me an one of the other admins were trying all kinds of different combinations of user names and couldn't get in unless we used a registered name. Anyways, we had him delete all fields and now he enters as reg. Wierd yes, am I worried about our servers security, well, sort of....

Set a server password and keep it secret.
Registred users can still join with their registration data.
