I'm getting a feedback loop in a strange situation.

When only one other person was online everything was fine. A third person logged in and then whenever ANYONE talked, the other two guys heard the feedback loop. Both had headphones on. I didn't hear the feedback loop.

What corrected it. I set my computer to "Push to Talk" and it went away.

I also noticed that if two of us talked at once, the feedback loop came back even if I used "Push to Talk".

I do not want to use push to talk as I'm intently playing a game (usually Star Wars Galaxies or Everquest) that take a lot of button pushing.

I'm using the server and client on one computer, and the game is on a different computer.

QUESTION: How do I get back off of "Push to Talk" without the feedback loop?

I am having the same type of problem.

I have the win32 server on a Windows Sever 2003 machine, and I have the teamspeak client on the computer I am playing the game on.

I have a Hercules Game Theater XP 6.1.

When I have PTT turned on, the other person gets no loop-back, but when I turn on voice-activated, the other person hears himself.

We both have headphones on.

Any ideas?

Sometimes feedback from your speakers (If they are on as well as a headset) can cause a false voice reading, and open the mic. This is hard to troubleshoot, but I am willing to help if you would like to jump in a server together and troubleshoot it one night this week/next.

I will have a test server up in the very near future too, that should help some new people get started too :)

Not sure what you mean. If I have the headphones plugged in, no sound comes out of the speakers, just the headphones, so the mic can't "hear" the person on the other end speaking, so there should be no loopback.

I will try unpluggeding my speakers when I get home to see if that works.
