well the server is running fine, despite some crashes with the web-interface ... but that has allready been spoken about in other topics
my problem is the following: the linux server seems to have some user registration bugs too:
when i do a clear fresh install there is no problem connecting as admin, even after setting up all channels, but as soon as i register another player or admin ...only anonymous login will work after that. The rest seems to be screwed up. "bad login"
Is this a known thing?

sorry i played around with the users again, do you want it anyway?
anyway, here's what i've found out:
1st: by looking into the db file, is that the server changed the admin password with out giving a notice in any way. No log entries, etc.
I think i did stop and start again the server after the first channel and player configurations.
2nd: is also the following during the first player configurations run of the server: i was logged on the server as admin and registered another player ("tim[PBC]") with the server as administrator.
Later after the admin lost it's password as described by 1., I wanted to log on as "tim[PBC]" to continue the configuration. But i seemed the to have not the same priviliges as an admin. It looked like the server administrator "tim[PBC]" has turned out to be a normal user, not more.
3rd: later when i found out that the admin's password had changed i logged in with this account and used another PC to login as "tim[PBC]".
By that situation i wanted to get rid of the "tim" account because it didn't look like an administrator account.
But when i used the admin account to remove tim's registration, the client on tim's side told him to have lost his serveradmin priviliges and lost his registration.
So what was he? Admin with Guest-priviliges?

4th: a suggestion for the client: shouldn't the player who's registration has been removed also be disconnected from the server?
i know you don't have the files now, but i'll play around and will try to rebuild that situation.
