Hey guys, let me bring you up to speed.
[Time: Day 1, 19:00]
A TeamSpeak server (2.0.19.40) was installed on my linux server (details below) and setup. At this time, I was aware that another TeamSpeak server was running elsewhere on the same server, under another user.
[Time: Day 1, 20:00]
The TeamSpeak server was tested with 8 people for a duration of about 3 hours. The server worked flawlessly through out the period.
[Time: Day 2]
The Teamspeak server was briefly used by 2 people.
[Time: Day 3, 6:58]
The Linux srever was reset, consiquently shutting down the both of the Teamspeak Servers. This action was unsupervised.
[Time: Day 3, 9:00]
The Teamspeak server was not running and I was not aware of the prior restart. Also, the other Teamspeak server was discovered to have been stopped.
Attempts to run either of the two servers (using ./tss.minimal_startscript or ./linux_server) resulted only in linux_server returning the following error:
Segmentation fault
I tested Teamspeak server (2.0.20.51) on the server, only to be presented with the same segmentation fault.
This leads me to believe that something on the Linux server (possibly a lib file) has been altered, possibly by TeamSpeak, and is not preventing linux_server from operating correctly.
[Server Info]
Linux
2.4.24-HN-1.4-P4
#1 SMP Sat Jan 10 15:06:05 EST 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Redhat version 8
Any and all help/comments on this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
