Hi all I have installed the FireDeamon lite versin 1.7 and have set it up to run TS Server as a service.

It did do in the background at first until i checked the box telling it to interact with desktop, one problem is that this brings up a command window which will not disappear when i want it to.

But at the same time when i do close the command window - the Server icon disappears and the server shuts down - i donnot want the server icon to disappear or shut down so is anyone out there with XP got any answers they could share?

I did try the other way using the developers binary but did something wrong and could not work out what i did wrong as i followed exact instructions that someone gave me before. The service never worked , nor did it appear in services in control panel > admin tools

Thanks in advanced people

Help anyone please???

For now all i have the box of "interact with desktop" unckecked which is how i like it to run at the moment.

Though i donnot see the icon in the taskbar when the server is running from the startup (service).

I know this works and i have found a way round my problem above for now but it does not show the taskbar icon still ...

... for now i run it as a normal service using firedeamon. I have it setup all correctly and teamspeak server runs fine in the background allowing me to do work etc. To access my admin stuff - instead of right clicking the icon (as it is not there) i just use a favourite link in my IE so is there anyway around the command window??? thing that i explained above
