I recently had an incident on my server where on user hacked another user thru the ip address which was viewable on the users connection info. I was told there was a way to hide ip's of the users. I've searched prog. files for a manual and did a search of the forums but no dice on finding what i was looking for. Could someone please help me?
get yourself a domain name, either a paid one, or a free one at www.dyndns.com
BUT
with the various tools available, everyone will almost always be able to redirect domain-names, connections, services etc back to IP's
Best thing is to finetune your security to the max
pims answer is wrong.
Anybody with serveradmin can view IPs of connected clients, just dont grant SA, and they cant find out other clients IPs.
Oops, sorry didn't see on a very elarly sundaymorning thatr this was about the ip in the user-connection info
