Hi,

I worked with a Router, and I downloaded TS server and TS client.
In the settings of my router, I forwarded te TS port. (8767).
But it wouldn't work.
So... I removed the router, and I pluged myself direct to my internet connection. So, no firewall or router or zonealarm anymore...
Then in the administration settings of the server I register some people and stuff. And I can connect to my server and edit everything. But when others try to connect, they can see my server, but they receive an error when they try to connect.

So there is no firewall or router and I'm connected directly to the internet, I can connect properly to my own server. But others can only see my server.

@zoempie

- can the user from the WAN ping your IP ? Do they have the right IP (WAN IP) / port ?

- Zonealarm has in the past shown that it causes a lot of problems (people shut it down, but it actualy still blocked the connection).
Are you sure no firewall / packetfilter is blocking the connection (WinXP has a default one) ?

- Did you forwarded the correct port (UDP not TCP) to the correct LAN IP ?

- What erroe message do the others get ?

@lurker

Why don't you read the server manual ? Pay special attention to the key word "port forwarding". Read your router manual for how to set it up or do a search here in this forum to get more info about port forwarding (some specific routers are covered in this forum, but do remember, this is not a router forum !).

- Also check the FAQ for what ports TS requires. Make sure no firewall is blocking them.
