All right, our team tested out TS2 last night for a scrim, and here are the problems we came up with: 14+ people on the server btw, server on a ds3.. also should note most of us have very nice systems using all updated drivers.. all of us have good sound cards as far as I can remember.. sound blaster live mostly...

some microphones worked while others didn't-----
10 of us couldn't hear joe, but 4 could.. joe hooked up a different microphone, and we all could hear him (even though the microphone was shitty compared to the other one).. sorry, can't give you the microphone brands as he is at work all night.. this happened to 2 people.. both switched microphones and it fixed the problem.

directSound was terrible----
most of us had bad bad bad bad BAD crackling when people talked... people could say 1/2 of a word or not even that much and it would crackle for the rest of the word, then keep crackling as they continued to talk.. basically, you couldn't hear them for nothing. when switched to WAVE everything was fine...

recording??------
I had asked for recording capabilities and you guys said you would put it in.. I realize this isn't the 'final' release, but I want to re-iterate how much we want this feature :)

quality----
overall quality was fine...was expecting more out of the 16kb codec, but it's definately playable and better than other software.

voice activation--
turn this OFF by default *g* this is an opinion of course, but god, some people just can't stop breathing or coughing...

overal....very nice job :]

So far I have had only one thing that i found wrong with TS2 while playing T2.

It started after about 1 hour of playing. When I go to talk it eather locks my system or it sends my ping over 5000 and it stays there.

Other then that it the best program Ive used yet.

Got to admit it is working quite well for my clan. I've not had any of the problems seen in these forums (as of yet anyway). Stick with it and im sure the bugs will be pressed out.

Mic problems:
I am aware of some problems here. Working on better code.

Recording:
It will come :)

Cracking:
Using realtime priority can help (settings -> options)
Using wave can result in the lowest latencies. Using wave results in most stability when direct sound does not.

GSM Codec. The codec itself is pretty awesome. Its better than listening to someone on your mobile phone. There are things that can ruin it tough. Most notably: To loud mic input, to load mic output.

Well, heres the good news. TS2 still rocks!

the bad news is that I cant use it while playing or it will lock me up. It even did it while watching the T2TV tonight.

Does anyone know how to fix it.

spose I should add this:
W2K
XP1700
soyo dragon plus (i'm using the onboard sound)
