Choppy Sound with Some games

I have a crappy computer and Im at my wits end. I just want to play wc3 with TS. But when I try the sound is all choppy. The same problem occurs with Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

I have a crappy Soundmax Integrated audio card
I have a crappy 800mhz amd duron
I have crappy windows ME.

Can anyone help me?

While I do hate my computer and I do find your response ever so clever.. It doesn't seem to help.

1) DO NOT crosspost in this forum (=> I deleted our other post) !

2) You can try

- change TS to wave or direct sound or vice versa
- set TS to high process prio
- try to get newer sound drivers / reisntall actual DirectX


I playe a lot of WC3 and I can't really imagin playing it on a machine like yours. So I have the feeling you'll simple have a too slow machine (now I understand why I somtimes have to wait "hours" till some people have loaded the game map :(

Beside what's your Internet connection (UP and DOWN speed ?).

Well my computer's not TERRIBLE. Im not one of those people that takes so long to load that it comes up saying im lagging.

But anyway....

-My internet connection is 768k dsl up and down.
-I have the latest drivers for my card.
-I tried changing between wav and direct with no results.

Also I dont think my computer is too slow for it to work. Cuz TS works with a bunch of other games. command and conquer generals wich takes a lot more resources than wc3.

I'll try the priority thing I guess...
