Been using TS for almost a year with no problems until tonight. For whatever reason, my voice sounds the same to the others in the room, but the voices of my friends sound like garbage. Sound quality is poor, and quiet at best.

TeamSpeak version: 2.0.19.46
Windows 98
VIA AC'97 Enhanced Audio
Everquest (Woot woot)

Have tried reinstalling TS twice no, and no luck. Is this a problem with TS, or my computer? Hunting down drivers now...

Thanks in advance.

Maybe the latest client would help? 2.0.32.60 is the latest version to my knowledge. And 2.0.19.46 sounds more like a server version.

Bleh sorry, am running 32.60. I tried new drivers but it didnt do anything. I'm trying to think if i have dl'd or changed anything since i started to have problems. Thinking this is on my end.

try switching between direct sound and wave sound (or vice versa) in your ts-settings / options dialog. Also you could set the process priority to high (in ts-settings / options / other).

then I'd like a more specific description of the problem... "sounding like garbage" can mean a lot, from pitched sounds to laggings, distortion, etc.
what does the log-file say?

Waiting on another member to log in to run the priority switch/direct and wave checks.

As far as the sound quality.

First noticible difference is how loud it is. It's about a whisper at best, with all sound options cranked to max. Quality sounds tin like, or aluminum. If members in channel talk over each other, i get some static. If members also speak more loudly than normal, voices do the similar static as to when they talk over each other.

Ok friend just came in and none of the fix' did much. Quality might have been minorly improved, but not a fix.

make sure that all members use the current ts-version 2.0.32.60 at this time.

Also I'm interested in the TSClient.log file-output...
