Will the next version of Teamspeak have TTS?

Hmmm,

TTS is a bit tricky. We have not done enough research on it yet - we need a TTS engine that is crossplattform (Win, Linux, Mac), and that is free to use in a closed source project (since we dont want to ask for money for teamspeak in order to buy some TTS engine).

So, if you feel teamspeak needs TTS, give me some links of TTS engines you found, with details what licence/cost they have, and on what operating systems they run.

Does that not defeat the object having Text to Speech ??

Teamspeak is a speech medium that has text options for messaging individual users or channels.

Unless you thinking of Teampeak announcing the player names an server details upon joining much like that other well known package that begins with a V ;).
