View Full Version : Connecting to server. Test.

This is my first time using TS and I have spent litterally 12 hours trying to get the thing to work without posting for help, I went through every post relating to my connection problems, went through the FAQ multiple times, Went through the manual and searched the web to learn about my router.. now, I can connect to my server that is running on the same system as the client but I cant verify if anyone else can connect to it.

I have bugged a few people from random servers (probably not the best way) to try and connect but havent got any feedback from them..

Is there anyone here that would please try to connect to my server??

If the server is running on the standard port, you don't have to add it to the IP. So trying this will not help.

Cool guys, thanks slot for your help, I just checked my server info after leaving it up all night and I have had 9 logins so far..

At least I know people can login!

dose any one no how to forward a routter i guse people sayed i have to so they can get on:( :(

what I did was do a search on google for my router "netgear port forwarding" and then all I had to do was get the right model number of my router and it walks you through step by step.

I had to do it a couple of times to get it right, what you want to do, is once you get into your router setup, you just type in the port you want available (8767) and then you need to specify your IP address.. I tried my LAN ip address IE: 192.168.0.6 and that didnt work, so I used my WAN ip address 67.161.248.225 and it worked.

that IP is unable to ping and i'm unable to conenct via teamspeak...ports still probably blocked...

Thanks for the attempt, I thought I had it figured out but guess not, I tried to connect via a computer from my brothers house and nodda.. I guess more work to be done still.
