View Full Version : Send Soundfile to TS ?
Heya
Simple Question. Is there any way to send a soundfile (say, M3 or Wave) to the TS Client ? Besides starting the file on my PC and holding the Mic at my speakers :)
Thanks
Some way yes, some way not. As you are using windows (I like people completing their forum profile), you can set your windows recording source to "wave" or something like this. This will usually grab all sounds of your system and they will be heared on TeamSpeak.
Please notice that playing sounds that way will, like holding the mic at the speakers, produce enormous echo if other people talk as TeamSpeak is recorded as well.
TeamSpeak itself has no "play sound" feature that works this way, but maybe we will see something like that in TS3.
Found it.
So technically you could even send the CD Audio to TS. Pretty nice, thanks.

actually, i learned a trick to getting it not to echo when you do that:
if you don't already have one, get a cord that links your speaker out directly to your mic in ports, then disable your sound notifications in the settings/options/sound notifications, and under settings/sound input output options, turn output volume all the way to minimum .. no echo then
now i'm having problems with keeping the sound level stable .. for some reason the volume of the source goes up and down
