This is the Error message I recieve now when I open TS. I did have it working for a year and the only thing I have changed is that I removed an Osprey video capture card from this machine. All of a sudden TS gives me this message, many reboots and fresh TS installs later I cant get it fixed. Anyone know what to do here?

It just suddenly started to happen for me. I installed WMP 11 a few weeks ago, and perhaps I have not used Teamspeak since then. I'm not sure what is going on. Ventrilo, Skype and MSN messenger all are unaffected.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I was searching for this exact same error and found this thread with no answers. There is nothing I hate more than not being able to find an answer, so here it is.

As far as I can tell this error basicly means teamspeak cant communicate with the audio device. In my case I disabled my onboard audio controller in the bios (pc specs bellow) and this error came up. Enabled it and the error went away. I also got this error in my old pc when I pulled my sound card, but didn't deinstall it or change the input device in teamspeak -> settings -> options. So basicly teamspeak is not seeing your audio controller/board/card for one reason or another. I hope this helps anyone else who runs into this problem.

My PC Specs:

MSI 945P Neo3 Mobo
XFX nVidia geforce 7600gt 256mb Video
2 GB DDR2 667mhz Patriot Ram
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio
Win XP Pro OS
