in a nutshell, here's my setup...

redhat 9 box w/ two nics...eth0 on internet side..dynamic ip..eth1 on lan side... static ip set
using linux box pretty much for file server, dhcp/dns server/router

okay..

on lan side..an xp box...

alright..with that said... i got TS2 installed w/ little or no trouble..i cannot get the server to run by typing either "tss.minimal_startscript" or "server_linux"... instead, i have to plug the monitor in everytime (but not often) i reset linux server and log in through gui to start TS2 server by clicking on "server_linux" file icon...anyways...

from xp box, i can use TS2 client and log into TS2 server on linux box with not problem using quickconnect...if i goto server list, it shows up there too, with all of the other TS2 servers...i can also use webadmin service through internet explorer from xp box to change server settings, etc...

problem is, no one on outisde (internet side) can connect to TS2 server.. i have verified that the service is running and that port 8767 is up... i have went into "security_level" in rh9 box and set it to "no firewall" and that doesn't help at all....when i run "netstat -a" it shows port 8767 there but everything else on the line is blank...example below:

Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
udp 0 0 *:8767 *:*

under "State" it's blank.... so i don't know if the above means that the port is open and listening..but shouldn't it say "Listening" under state if it is?

i don't know what else to try ..... if anyone has any suggestions, please help...thx in advance!!

I'm having a problem, too, since I changed my router. I went from a LAN with cat5 cables to a wireless, now TS won't give me an external IP for the server...only shows the internal IP.

Does anyone have an idea what I need to do to have my server running again?

Thank you!
