Packet loss / ping increase

Dont know why...but I'm running a cable modem....start up TS and the min I get into a room, my ping / PL goes up higher and higher and I'm broken / unreadable by those in the room.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Games like EQ etc dont show any PL at all. I've tried doing this with no games running etc to see if that was the issue...but it still happens.

uuuuhh yeah if it is your server try connecting by the real ip not the 192. # check your routers firewall and any others they could have a network filter like a previous mcafee firewall 4.0 did for me it limited the amount recieved thus lowering my speed and so on so check that out

Its not my server....in fact any one I go to isnt working all too well. I did the driver update for the SB live as seen in the sticky above..and still get the PL. Guessing its the card perhaps..or just the cable. Beats me

hmmm... what about other udp-extensive applications? do they show the same behaviour?

still I somehow suspect this to be a connection's problem, you could ask your provider whether they have problems with sending udp packets ;)
