Is it possible for me to have my own server if I have my Internet Connection Firewall enabled? (I'm on dial up) I've tried it and my friend wasn't able to connect. But if I disable it, I get alot of ad ware and just the other day I got the new W32.Welchia.B.Worm virus which I am currently trying to remove.

If I can't with my Internet Connection Firewall enabled, is there another good firewall I could use that can allow me to use Team Speak?

I found this page on microsoft.com

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;308127

What ports should I type in to allow me to use Team Speak?

Sorry, I will read the FAQ manual.

Also, I know there are several different ways to get adware. I scan my system about twice a week with Ad Aware to keep them off though. Oh, and I would get cable or dsl internet if it was available to me but lets face it, not all of us are that fortunate.

The signal does static but I can still hear my friends.

I'm not sure if I did this right but this is what I did.

I went to the advanded tab then settings in my network connections. I clicked Add and then filled in the blanks. Here is what I added in the blanks.

Description of Service: Team Speak
Name or IP of computer hosting the service: 127.0.0.1
External Port Number for this Service: 8757
Internal Port for this Service: 8767
I then chose UDP beside these 2 options

Is this all I need to do to allow people to connect to my server in Tea Speak if I have my internet connection firewall enabled?

Are you hosting a TS Server on your router? I think not. You better enter the LAN IP of the computer running the TS Server instead of localhost.

Hello Brain. What's up with you? He's talking about internet connection firewall in windows, not about router settings. Wake up! :D

Its ok. I'm just trying to figure out how to keep my Internet Connection Firewall (Windows XP Default Firewall) on and still let others be able to connect to my server.

Could someone please tell me what to put in the blanks I don't understand below?

Description: Team Speak
Computer Name or Hosting Service IP address: "my computer name here"
External Ports of service: 8767 ??? TCP
Internal Ports of Service: 8757 ??? UDP (Which one do I choos?)

If I can set this right then it will work. Any help?

I don't use Windows XP and don't know anything about its firewall stuff, but it looks not different from what you would specify for a router's port forwarding table.
