If you have a web space, first read the thread i nthe FAQ !

If server is standing at your home: read the server manual, there's a linux install guide included.

i have a webspace and it has that telnet and ssh thing.
Now how do i proceed getting that server up there?
(is that putty prog for installing it?)

Im running one at home at the moment, but if i can get it on my webby its better.

putty is a telnet/ssh client

the install process is described in the server manual. I assume your hoster uses Linux so check the Linux installation section. Hope you have Linux knowledege, other wise you'll be probably lost.... (your hoster should be able to help you)
