OK. So my computer is running great, My friends downloaded TS to talk while playing Starwars Galaxies. I decide My computer is by far the best of all of them. So, In between games of Halo over Gamespy I come to the site and download the server... That is when the problems began. After installing the server I have been experienceing Lag spikes in ALL my internet connections. Wheter it be Gamespy, Outlook, even simply internet Explorer. The spikes last around 30 seconds each and occur every 5 minutes.

I uninstalled all of the TS programs yet the Lag spikes persist. Someone please help me out.

Here are the specs of my computer

OS: Win2k Adv. Server
DirectX: 9.0B
2.8Ghz Pentium 4
1 Gig ram
nVidia GeForce 4800

As I said in the post. It was absolutely fine until after I installed TS. Its not my ISP, I have rebooted several times. All was going perfectly fine, getting pings of 40-50 to my friends in Belgium. Once again... this is a problem after installing TS not Spyware or anything.

u never know unless u check I'm telling you a few things I doubt it was teamspeak maybe a system restore would help if you think its all teamspeaks fault which i highly doubt it is

a system restore would fix any problems... I know it isnt spyware, I check my computer regularly and dont download anything unless I KNOW what it is, most of my time is spent playing Star Wars Galaxies anyways. the problems began directly AFTER INSTALLING TEAM SPEAK SERVER. how many times must I state this. AFTER INSTALLING TEAM SPEAK SERVER. I was playing Halo ONLINE stopped in the middle to INSTALL THE SERVER, then THE LAG PROBLEM BEGAN.

Not from me, that's the first time I've heard that. I installed the Windows server for testing purposes, but it didn't cause any kind of ping spikes or lag before, during or after the installation or the de-installation.
On the other hand I run Win98SE and not WinXP, maybe it's a WinXP feature.

well if noone is willing to help me could you please provide a list of all the registry entrys it creates when installing on Win2k? That way I would at least be able to try and fix it myself.

I bet you too would have a bad attitude if you cant even play your favorite game due to loss of internet connectivity every 3 minutes. That is right, I loose internet connection every 3 minutes for 30 seconds. not just on the game but throughout my entire computer.

(also does this software overwright any system files or anything else like that)

That's not true. I think it's rather nobody has experience with your problem.
You are the first to describe this kind of problem and I've been on this forum for a very long time.
Maybe it's not even Teamspeak-related. Maybe it's something deep in the bowels of your Windows installation. Or maybe Teamspeak stresses your system in conjunction with your sound card driver (that's a problem I had with Star Trek Voyager Elite Force). Have you tried different driver versions for your sound card, mainboard and video card even?

ok, I found the problem... When installing Team Speak on win2k Adv. Server it must have overwritten 3-4 of the of the core system files. Luckily Adv. Serv. has an auto restor function durring startup that I normally just skip through because on 4 120GB hard drives it takes a little time. Let it just run throught and everything is going good now
