TS conflict w/ NWN causes mic to die?

I don't have any problems with TS outside of any games, and when I try to play NWN with TS, I can chat for a little while, but eventually (and without warning) my mic dies and I talk to myself. When I leave NWN, the mic does NOT come back online in TS, and I have to restart TS to get it to start up again.

Any idea wtf is going on and htf to fix it?
