TS trouble, Hearing prob

Hi all

Im new here so many apologies if in wrong section.

I only need 1 Q!

Its on TS2 and a private server.

My mate can hear me but I cannot hear his reply.

His light comes on though as does mine but I cant hear him.

He says it is plugged in correct hole and he can hear himself talking.

please help!

Have him make sure his mic is turned on, and turned up.

Also make sure it is set to Direct Sound. (Settings > Options)

Yup he has that checked unfortunately :(

Any other ideas?

It doesnt ask you to configure it when you install does it? I cant remember lol

Ah new development:

My mate says that when he talks into his microphone, as he does this he can hear his words through his speakers when on TeamSpeak.

Does this mean his Input/Output are not set up properly or what :S?

Becuase I thought that when you talk through TS (at least for me) you shouldnt hear you own words through your own speakers.

EDIT- My Line in under Volume controls was Muted could that be the prob?
