I feel like such an idiot, but I can't get my mic to work in TS. My light turns on, but no one can hear me. It works while im in say yahoo, but doesnt work with TS. Any idea's on how this could be fixed would be appreciated.

Im using Soundblaster Live! X-Gamer if that helps (I tried the other drivers suggested by they didnt work either)

Thanks,
-Beg

go into your creative surround mixer and make sure microphone is checked for the recording in, and also go into your Teamspeak and go to Settings>Sound Input/Output settings and select "activate local test mode, located at the bottom of the sound setting box. This will allow you to hear what they hear. Ajust the output volume so that you can hear yourself, and then when you can, they will be able to hear you too.

Does that mean actually click Activate Local test mode?

Or make sure that Activate Local test Mode is at the bottom of the window?

Cause clicking it changes it to Disactivate

Clicking it once, activates it...try to talk, see if you can hear yourself...when youre finished, click it again to deactivate it.

Remember that in Local Test Mode, and if you have selected Push-To-Talk (ex: you have a button for talking), you still need to press that button in Local Test Mode to be able to hear yourself.

Friend of mine is having the EXACT same issue you are Begaro. He's running Windows XP Home latest service packs, etc. I'm hosting the server and have atleats 15 other people who have no issue what so ever connecting and talking while we play BHD. This friend can connect and can hear all of use crystal clear (so to speak) but we can't hear him. His light comes on and a faint static sound can be heard when his light goes green but that's all. When he tries to connect a voice conference with me via Yahoo! we can hear him in TS! I don't have to accept the Yahoo! voice conference..he just has to invite me to one and all the sudden we can hear him in TS. Once he closes the invite to Yahoo! voice conference, his voice drops from TS. I have four five machine at home (Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro, Windows ME, Windows XP Home, Windows 2000 Pro) and all work just fine, some with Yahoo! installed and some without. We have gone through all the settings (TS and Windows) between his Windows XP Home system and mine but haven't found any differences. He's uninstalled/reinstalled TS and Yahoo! as well and has on-board sound only (VIA ACE 97).

Any ideas?

I just started to get the same problem today. When I was using TS last night I was not having a problem but as soon as I started to use it today I was. I tryed to do the test but it never worked for me I even grabed the client again to see if reinstaling it would fix the problem but it never. I tryed to test to see if my mic would register anything and my computer it getting it and TS also shows that I am pushing down the key to talk.
