Have been running TS for over 4 months now.Have never had a problem occur with it. That is until Sunday night. Talking to a friend on TS and he suggested that I download x-fire. Did that. Right after it was downloaded, TS window went blank, lost internet access, etc. Rebooted. Computer up and running. I clicked on the TS icon on my desktop and that brought the headsets to the taskbar. Click on the headsets and it seems to connect, however, I am not able to see it visually, nor hear anyone. A friend from my team got into my computer and saw that TS was running and the he visualized the window. Why cannot visualize the window? Did X-fire disrupt the settings? I have a match tonight and would like to have this up and running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

X-fire is a small top-down shooter game made by LPHPNL. What
makes x-fire unique is that it has real-time per-pixel
lighting.
X-fire took runner up in the AGDC (Australian Game Developers
Conference) best unsigned game (Indie) in November 2003. The
main drive behind x-fire's development is going back to older
style games where the idea is just to be overwhelmed by
enemies (just think Gauntlet or Alien Breed).

I believe it was developed in Australia. www.xfire.com. I immediately uninstalled the program, yet I still cannot get TS to come up.

Ah, I see.

Well, the fact that you don't see the TS window might be related to that system crash you described. I've read you can fix this by deleting some .ini file, unfortunately I don't even have an .ini file in my TS2 client directory... a forum search might help.

Since I don't have the game I can't tell you if it influences TS2 in any way. The worst it can do is crash the machine :)
But I have yet to see this. I didn't have problems with TS2 in combination with games yet. What you could try is switching between waveout and DirectSound if TS2 in conjunction with X-Fire repeatedly crash your computer.
Other than that I don't know of any other options.

Psycho well it could very well be the manager for this. I am doing the leg work on this for rasputin. He was getting ready to throw the computer out the window on this one. Just as he installed it, everything quit, nothing does not seem the same. He uninstalled and reinstalled TS and still nothing happened. It is very strange, I am sure that something went wrong with the exe. file.

I am still trying to figure out why when I click on the headphones Icon I get a message box Error .
It says " cannot make a visable Modal"
What does this mean and how do I rectify this problem with TS?

Long ago I read this last time. Does it solves your problem when you look for a hidden file Teamspeak.conf (it's somewhere in your "own files" not in the TS folder), delet this file and restart TS ?

Okay, I'm jealous. I have a problem http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12722 and I decided that maybe deleting teamspeak.conf would help. I don't have a teamspeak.conf!!! I am set up to show all files and all, too. No where in my computer is there a teamspeak.conf, a Teamspeak.conf, or any other *.conf other than the 3 that are there for other programs.... Darn.
