Hi Odyssee,
The easiest way to find out is to read the manual for your firewall.
Since McAfee has several firewall programs, here's a link to their product manuals page:

i can't find my product
I have a McAfee virusscan 6 and a firewall version 3.
PLz help me:( :( :(
adding 8767 is not going to help anyway
udp 8767 is the incoming port the SERVER listens for, at least in the default setting.
Which port the client uses to direct traffic outbound is unpredictable
the other thing that might be the case looking at the error is that the server might not have 8767 forwarded to it's machine and/or have firewalls running
To establish this you might want to try to connect to other servers, like the public on this homepage. If that works, it's your friends server that causes the prob
ik zie dat je nederlander bent
kan je plz uitleggen in Nl.
graag niet van die computertaal
1) This is an english Forum => stay at english !
2) have you tried connecting to other servers ?
3) I'm sure you got a manual when you bought your firewall.
If you lost it, check if the manual for version 4 or the older one does not help you. Probably not every thing changed ?
4) This is NOT a networking/firewall forum, so do not expect too much.

1. Ok
2. yes i have tried. and it works
3. i dont have it
4. k
very well. Since you can conect to other servers I guess the probklem lies at the network configuration of your friend.
- Can others from the WAN (I assume your not in his LAN) connect to his server ?
If not, he didn't do the port forwarding or he has a firewall blocking WAN connections.
You probably can't do much at the moment apart from bringing back your firewall to the store as you should not accept a Software without a manual !

Tell him to do a search on "portforwarding" on these forums

Yes others can join the server, except me.
Whats a WAM??
WAN = Wide Area Network = Everything that's not local = "The Internet" (well, not really)
Amazon sells nice books about IP, networking,....
The books are called "*** for dummies", e.g. IP for dummies, networking for dummies,.... :D
If you play around with a server, you need at least the basics !
