I'm looking to purchase a new broadband router that will work with TS server. I currently have a MR314, and with my DMZ set, I still cannot get connections with TS server. My friend has a microsoft MN-700 and he can't get his to work either. (we tried forwarding the ports listed in the FAQ, as well as setting the DMZ).

Has anybody out there had success with running TS server behind a router? If so, with what brand & model router? Also, if you know of one that works with C&C Generals (Directly connected game, not "Online"), thats a plus too!

Thanks!

I have a network everywhere router (the cheap one at Wal-Mart)
and i had a bit of trouble too but i found some great posts on how to fix it

the network everywhere router NR401 router is a linksys router and you have to set it weird for ts to werk with it

first turn Block wan request to disabled in your router settings

then have your friend set his client to debug mode for log settings
to do that when you open TS

click on <settings> then <options> then <other>
at the bottom of that screen you should see a thing that says log
by default it is set to Warning change it to debug
Then RESTART TS That is the most important step cause the settings will not take effect till you restart it

then have your friend try to connect to your server
see if that works before you go out and buy a new router

yeah, that's kind of a weird workaround... also make sure that you forward UPD traffic and not TCP.
