Dear TS pro's ^^,

I have a LAN, A computer with Windows XP & Windows 98.
The one with Windows XP connects first to the internet, and the one with windows 98 connects via the windows XP to the internet, so the one with windows XP always must be on in oder to let the internet work on the one with windows 98. The problem is: I want to host on my comp with the windows 98 for my clan. Iam the only one that can connect via LAN, others get the message: Server is offline, or teamspeak isn't running on it. How to fix this? I don't have a router. I have a crossover cable, and no firewall. Plz help me.

Greets,

You either host it on the Windows XP box or configure a port forwarding.
I can tell you lots about that if it were a Linux machine, but Win XP... you're on your own there.

it's a pain to be honest with you to use ICS (internet connection sharing) in XP and do port forwarding. I suggest buying a little router and forward ports. Not only does it increase security, because u'll be on a NAT (network address translation), but you'll have more control of the network, and wont need to leave the XP running when you don't need to.

It's not e avery elegant solution and prone to lots of problems with ICS and the built-in firewall

Better follow Bluetooth's sound advice and buy a 40 euro router with 4 ports
