I know your all going to probobly say "USE THE SEARCH"...
well i did already and found nothing that helps me...

Running:
Windows XP Pro
D-Link 604 (4 port) Router

I'm having problems with connecting to my Global IP...
I've tried forwarding the ports, putting myself in the DMZ, Allowing TS in the firewall, everything...

Is there ANYTHING at all that i can do to fix this?

Start with switcing off all firewalls, like ICS, Zone-Alarm or NOrton, then try again

probably one of the last note (see "WAN or external IP") in this FAQ entry helps you ?

first off, i have no firewalls running, the only firewall i have is in my router, and i have no clue as to how to completely disable that, if i even can..

And I use No-IP for quick connections...

I know it's not No-IP thats messing up, because even when i try to connect to my IP Directly, it still times me out...

As of now i can connect 1 time, but if i disconnect i can't get back in...

:(

Ya i have a dlink router too. My friend and i were working on this problem for 3 days. Well finally i got it working. I had all the ports open. But the problem was i was giving him the wrong ip adress. Like when you go to start, run, cmd, then ipconfig, i told him that, but it didn't work. Well then i went to www.whatismyipaddress.com and that told me an ip adress so i gave it to my friend, and it worked.

Hi -[BBD]-MotherFo,

If this is a DLink-604 specific issue, then you may want to post the fix here for future use by others.

Thanks,
pb

okay well its very simple and it tells you on their website
www.dlink.com

go to ur browser and type 192.168.0.1 and click enter

a box will pop up and u will most likely login with the admin as your user name and then go to the advanced tab and click virtual server then

you will see a big page with a bunch of boxes check the enabled one then enter private ip most likely 192.168.0.100 if your plugged into the first port it depeds so i recommend u find out which you are then select udp port type then public and private ports are 8767 and then select always then save and then it should open that port correctly i cant possibly type any more without getting more confusing its best to just contact me :p

yes i have a suggestion make sure your doing the correct private ip they can either be 192.168.0.100 192.168.0.101 192.168.0.102 192.168.0.103 192.168.0.104 start your server right click on the icon by your clock and then go to my ips is should tell u the correct ip then when your in your router forward those ports to the correct private ip another suggestion make sure your windows xp firewall isnt on or you have mcafee, norton, or zonealarm

make sure your doing the correct private ip The private ip is correct (in my case 192.168.0.100)another suggestion make sure your windows xp firewall isnt on or you have mcafee, norton, or zonealarmXP firewall is off and I just uninstalled my PC-Cillen from the cpu.

Here's what I have done in the router:

I uninstalled my PC-Cillen from the cpu and it worked. Even though I had PC-Cillen shut down, it would not let the traffic through. I had the same problem when I tried to set my office network up, so I gave it a shot and deleted it.

WHEW......
