View Full Version : Disconnection problem?

I am running TS through a linksys router. I have set up my own server and can find it in the client version. However, when I join, I get disconnected, rejoin, and disconnected again. This keeps happening over and over again.

Do I have to open more ports or something else?

-The ports I have open are 8700-8799

Hi typan,

I don't know what is causing your problem, but you only need to have 1 port forwarded to be able to connect to your TS server. That port is the UDP server port which is 8767(UDP) by default.

You may want to check for firewall issues or firmware upgrades to your router, but you should definitely close down the unneccesary ports for your own security.

Some people have reported that opening the TCPQuery port has fixed connection issues with specific routers. You may want to try that (the port is 51234 TCP), but if it doesn't work and you don't need to connect to the TCPQuery interface outside the lan, you should close it back up as well.

Nope didn't work, so i'm gonna close that port. This is the message that I'm getting when I join

Connected to server angered species
Welcome to server angered species
Connection Timed out

This all happens within 2 seconds after I join. And I can join other servers.

BTW thanks for the advice and any in the future

Hi typan,

Perhaps a firewall issue?

I have no firewall. Oh well I'm just gonna give up and try a different voice program. Thanks for your help anyway.
