Hey!

I've been reading through various messages on these forums today, and while I have seen a similar question to this posted already - I did not see a reply.
I apologize if this is a repeat!

This may sound dumb --

I am trying to use teamspeak with some friends. When I press the key to "talk", I hear a "beep" noise - it sounds like the windows "stop" sort of noise. If I hold down the key to talk, as I WANT to do, it goes "beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep".

I've tried remapping the key several times - I'm confident that is not the issue.

It works if I am in a different application, however. If I am at the same time typing a message in AIM, I can hold the key to talk in teamspeak, and it works fine. I get the "beep" sound when actually in the teamspeak application, or in nothing at all.

Am I just being stupid? Please reply! Thanks!

I don't know, you've only posted here once.

Your beeping problem can be solved by either removing the windows standard signal sound or by mapping a PTT key that doesn't generate characters, like Shift, Alt, Control, CapsLock, NumLock, ScrollLock

It depends on which key you are using. Preferably, I rather my Left Control key. Works great on desktop purposes and also In-Game purposes. I hope this information helps you if not, let me know and I can help you.
