Hello every one,

I have had this program on my Comp 4 about 3 months & it's real stable..
There one or two thing I can't figger out. One, I run a server on my Two comp and have about 30 members that use it .. on one I have all the members sige up on, but the back up does have any of the members sign up on it.. I did a search but didn't find the ansure..

My question is, How do I coppy all the members on to the back up server with haveing them all resige up?? I know I can add them to it but I dont know there Passwords and dont want to know..

The reason For the Back up Server is so I can servise one Comp while the other one is running..

Thxs For any help with this ,,

Let me get this straight:

You have two computers, both have the TS server on it. You want one of those comps connected to the internet, and have the other at standby. When the first goes down, or needs to be serviced, you want the latter to go up and continue serving as if nothing happened, right?

Well, first off, you don't need to bring the TS server down in order to edit it, all you have to do is use the WebInterface to edit it, any changes will immediately be recognised and used, without anyone having to exit TS.

But if you really need to have two comps, the way I (think I) would do it is like this:

- Use port-forwarding to be able to send all incoming TS talk to any computer, so you can easily switch everyone to another comp (the backup).
- When planning service time, copy the files 'server.dbs' and 'server.ini' to the other computer's TS dir. These files 'should' contain all settings of the server.
- Do the port forwarding switch.

I'm not sure this will work, but that u'll have to try for yourself. Remember that fooling around like this is dangerous, and that you may lose you TS settings!

To back it up copy your

server.dbs
server.ini
server.log

That's all you need. And any computer you put that on will have all the registered members, rooms, codec's, settings, etc. Just as if it were to be the same computer.

Oh yeah, and you don't need 2 computers to run two teamspeak servers. I run 2 myself on 1 computer. Just use one as port 8767. Then i used the other one as 10774.

How do I open the second port to be used?

- Open on your router UDP 10774

- Then when running your server, go to administration, then servers, then add new server. Do all the settings and at the bottom change the port number to 10774.

- Then when someone connects instead of 66.92.123.45:8767 they would connect to 66.92.123.45:10774

:) and i just made the ip up too.
