Hi,

Im a newcomer to TeamSpeak but have managed to get it running on my linux server.

I need to know, what are the differences between the codecs and whats the best one to use for quality? (Bandwidth isnt an issue, its on a 100mb line).

Also, once I've decided on the best codec (with the help of you guys) how do I go about setting the server and ALL clients to use this codec?

Cheers guys

If the bandwith is no problem, simply use the highest codec => beste voice quality.

And for your other question: RTFM (client and server) !

Sorry but what do you mean by RTFM?

How do I get all clients to use the best codec also? Is there a setting in the server that does is?

Also, is speex better than CELP?

Thanks

RTFM => Read The Fucking Manual !

In general: the higher (more bandwith use) the codec is, the less the voice stream will be compressed and so the better the voice quality is.
=> Speex is better then CELP

You set the codecs channel specific, so you do not have to set the codec in each client.
And now go for the manuals and safe us questions answered in there, thx :o
