Mic not working......I need Help

My mic suddenly stopped working. I tried testing my hardware and got a Direct play voice setup error code 0x80004005. Has anyone run into this problem. I appreciate any input. Thanks!

if your mic does not work in windwos wave recorder or other recording application your def. in the wrong forum. This is a TS forum not a genaerl sound,... forum.

However, your problem sounds like a DirectX problem probably. Reinstall DirectX ? Test an other mic,...
