Please do a search in the forums and FAQ for echoes and you might find more answers then you have questions.

this sounds like the same thing that has been happening to me. when i talk, the ppl i talk to hear a distorted echo that just keeps going and going and eventually starts making a high pitched sound. and then i start hearing it to from their end. i then started testing the mic in the Local test thing in TS and i heard the same thing no matter what i did. so i started messing around with the microphone and was having it play back the sounds that my mic was picking up. when i did this, even sounds that were being made by my computer and were being sent through the headset were somehow being heard on the mic, though i dont understand how that is possible. i have a Logitech Premium USB Headset 300. i dont know what kind of sound card i have and i have no clue how to find out. so, could any1 help me with this?

Ok... First thing to try.
go to start then to settings then the control panel (or in xp go to start then to control panel.) click on sound settings (or something along those lines) A dialog box will appear. Click on the upper "advanced" button (the one that is with the device settings) then another dialog box will appear. Now go to "options" then to advanced controls (in the menu bar) Then click "options" again then click properties. Then look down below (you might have to scroll down) but see if Microphone is checkmarked. If not, then checkmark it. Push OK. Then you should be able to see if your Mic is muted on playback. If it is not, then mute it.

If this doesn't solve your problem then just turn down you speakers. If that doesnt help go into teamspeak then click on Settings then on
Sound Input Output settings

Change the bottom of the 2 sliders to very high (this adjusts the sensitivity of your mic) Not all the way up but about 3/4ths of the way up.

If your problem still persists then ask some one else cuz thats all the ideas i got.
