Garbled Voice when playing games

Okay, I checked the FAQ and it said to switch the sound driver to "Wave" rather than Direct sound. That worked! as long as the only thing I had running was Team Speak. Now I can Log into say..Planet Side and if it's minimized I hear everything on TS fine. The moment I tab back to Planet Side or any game, All voices even the TS "Link Engaged" voice is garbled. The wierd thing is that I've been using it for months and had no problem. I log on today and poof! I didn't change anything, no patches, no settings changes, it just started acting goofy. I Downloaded those new KX project drivers the FAQ mentioned and it didn't work either. I have allready tried A complete un-install and re-install. Any suggestions?

try a codec change wait are you talking about when your talking to people or the lady's voice ....I wonder if that's SatanClaus's voice tee heee jk jk :D

I've actually went through each Codec with no success, The Lady's voice and the players' voices. It sounds like everything that is said is being said twice with a 1 second delay in between, so it's messed up. Like I said, I didn't have any problems for months, now all of a sudden poof! Problem pops up out of now where. If I set the sound driver to Wave, then it sounds fine as long as TS is running and everything else is minimized. The moment I pull a game to the forground (even just internet explorer) the voices go to hell. If I leave it on Direct sound (SB Live! Wave Device) which it defualts to, then it sounds garbled regardless. I have no idea whats wrong, and it's driving me NUTS! It just happened one day, I didn't change any settings or fiddle with anything, Logged on after a couple of days and Bam, Voices sound like hell.

Fixed it. Had to roll back the drivers (The Kx drivers did NOT work for me :rolleyes: ) then re-Update to the most recent. Somewhere I must have just lost a driver.
