Kernel 2.6 and TS = no mic input

Hi!

I tried now some distributions (Mandrake 10, Debian 3.0r2, Knoppix, Fedora Core1, Gentoo)
with each Kernel 2.4 and 2.6.

With Kernel 2.4 there are no probs in TS but with 2.6 i dont have a MIC Input.

What can I do ?

Which soundcardcard do you use ?
Did you check mic and capture in mixer (also try alsamixer in console) ?

I had problems with muted mic with 2.6 and mandrake 9.2 but in Mandrake 10 it's ok.

I have the same problem, i hear everyone, but they can't hear me... I use Mandrake 10 as OS too. What are youre settings?

Don't know if this'll help, but when I had my gain turned to 0 in aumix, my mic input was muted. Try making the gain 1 or higher and see if that fixes it.
