View Full Version : Keyboard LED light-up on transmission?
Hi there, I'm kinda new to TeamSpeak, and I'm finding it awesome. With the group of people we play games with many are not very strong, "technically". So we typically have problems with people not knowing how to setup thier microphone triggers for when thier TeamSpeak starts transmitting. So we have problems with people always transmitting and not knowing it. One of the people I game with said one time "It sure would be nice if a keyboard LED would light up transmitting, so when everyone starts complaining people can look to see if they are the one transmitting all the time."
So I thought I would send that in to the suggesstions forum here.
Again, great program everyone!
Indeed, that would be a very nice feature. Maybe Peter Barrette could include it in his TsShow4DX8, it already shows you who is talking so making an LED on the keyboard light up might be quickly implemented. Perhaps send him a PM or email with this suggestion.
Thanks Brain for the quick reply. I didn't even know those programs from Peter even existed! Sweet stuff. I'll take you up on your suggestion and send him a quick email.
Thanks again.

Hi all,
No need to send me an email on it. :)
I've been pretty busy with other projects lately, so my TS programming time has been pretty limited. That being said, I don't immediately know how to programmatically alter the keyboard LEDs, but I will have a look into it when I get some time.

I always used that feature while in windows... I had a keybinding for mute-mic on my "scroll-lock" key... so whenever I was muted (which is not default with my voice-activation) I had that "warning"-light ;)...
still a bit problematic under linux as scroll-lock is used to pause several processes / output....

PS: perhaps also a nice feature for TS3, added it to my wishlist... (oh and pbarrette: would be nice if you could post a link if you find something interesting ;) )

Hi all,
I initially gave up on this, but have revisited the issue and have come up with a working app.
See here (http://www.teamspeak.org/forums/showthread.php?p=62981)
Thanks,
