View Full Version : ISP Graphics per server?

Hey all, another suggestion popped into my head after talking to a group of guys I know. They use a hosted server for thier gaming Clan. This server actually hosts multiple TeamSpeak servers off the same box. This works all fine a dandy, until they wanted to modify the banner (GFX URL option of the ISP section in server.ini). Whatever the graphic is set to is set on all the TeamSpeak servers (not just thier Clan's server). It would be nice if this option could be customized on a per TeamSpeak server basis, and not a per "physical" server basis (if that makes any sense).

It is possible by using the TCP Query interface. Select the virtual server, login as super admin and type help globalset.

Awesome Brain, I didn't know about that. Much appretiated! Is there anyway to get these globalset changes to save to the server.ini file?

I suppose this is more of a support request, so if it's so wished, I can kill this thread here and start a new one.

Unfortunately there is not. You'd have to modify your start script to connect to your TS server's query port after startup, login as superadmin and set the appropriate images for each virtual server.

Thanks for the response Brain. You 'da man! I guess they'll just have to use a telnet script of some sort to fire off after the TeamSpeak server starts up to set the graphics.

No, I can't because you can't set images per virtual server. It was the Teamspeak client's caching function that tricked me into believing that, sorry.

No worries Mate. It's just a shame that you can't set the graphic seperately for TS servers running on a different port. I have been running a TS server for years and I can't use the banner function because I host a couple of different gaming groups and I don't want to subject one the other other's banner or mine.:)

Odd that this feature didn't come up when they implemented banners. Oh, well maybe in future versions. Thanks anyway bud!
