We have set up a server behind a firewall, with appropriate port forwarding. We can see and log onto the server, but it times out when accessed from the internet almost immediately. We have no problems with intranet access.

I have read the FAQ and done a search. Unfortunately the relevant thread that seemed to address the problem was in German; Sorry guys in Gremany but we're ignorant dicks here in Oztralia and can only speak English.

We are using a Netgear FWG114P wireless router and Netgear wireless bridge. TS Client works fine. We are running NAT.

Any thoughts would be appreciated :D

Usually we are ignorant gits here in Germany too but some of us speak german and english , ya see ? ;)

So if you have found a thread maybe you could post the link too and some helpful soul might translate it 4 ya .

To me this sounds still like some Paketfilter . Have you tried to disable the Firewall and put the machine in the DMZ ( dunno if possible though ) ?

I can't tell you the root case, but it seems as if the actual server ver. is delicately to timeouts.
Setting the clients into debug mode can sometimes help (see client manual).

Thanks Guys, I think I will stick it in the DMZ. No offence to all the Aussies who do speak german ;-)
