Server will not stay running

I am not sure why my ts server is not working. I have used the client portion with no problems but then I downloaded the server protion and when I start it, it shows it down in the tray then dissapears like it shut it self off. I have talked to several people about this problem and they have no clue so I am hoping someone out there can help me.

I have a Dell, 2.4 P4
windows xp

Ok to answer the forum ?'s.

1. I am running the newest server software, just downloaded it. First time using it to be honest with you.

2. Windows XP
Service Pack 1.

3. Sound Card - SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio Card.

4. Battlefield Vietnam

5. Directx 9.0

6.The error I have is it will not stay running. I start and shows in the system tray for not even a sec and dissapears.

7. I get this problem everytime I try to start the server.

8. I have not been able to resolve this problem.
