Okay, new problem..I put in a new sound card and now I cant use my mic. I have it plugged into correct slot but when I go to the test I get no feedback...Whats goin on?... :confused:

can you record in win wave recorder ?
If not, either your mic is dead or you haven't set your mixer settings correct.

How do I change mixer settings correctly? I went to Labtec site and went through what it said but it still didn't work. Where you go change settings in the system tray icon thats the audio settings. I know my mic isnt dead because I tried with a different mic and it still didnt work.

Hmmm... how many times did I (and others) posted this allready here :confused:

1) double click on loudspeaker icon in system tray
2) options - properties - recording
3) select all recording sources below, then ok
4) now select only the mic as recording source all other mute

5) go back to 2) and select playback
6) again select all, then ok
7) mute the micro


Hopefullly this does it
