Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

You could've helped yourself, you know, this problem is neither new nor happening seldomly. Just use your LAN IP or localhost to connect and all will be well if the rest of your system is configured properly.

What type of Router are you using? If it's a D-Link type http://192.168.0.1 in your browser and login, password is usually admin unless you've changed it. Then go to Advanced and allow your port number. Then go to your command prompt and type 'ipconfig' without the 's around it and use the 192 IP, take the last 3 digits and type that into the Server IP region, and also click enable, then reboot your router. ;)

WAN player can only connect to the local TS server when a port forwarding for the server UDP port (def. 8767) to the LAN IP of the TS server is set in the router.
