I played with a few buttons but cuz i am and assuming you use the creative surround sound mixer there is a microphone setting and a far setting which is added or changed if ya have it synced with the control panel any idea on the exact effect on this.
Also how many other people having varius issues with Lineage 2 with this combination?

It seems that the audigy installs to some odd configurations. Heres what I did to fix it (It was on "What you hear" for the input)
controlpanel -> sounds and audio devices
click on the audio tab.
Under "Sound Recording" theres a volume button, click on it
now you'll see "Recording control", check to box "Select" under microphone.
viola . Sound is perfect.
